king of wands

If I stand, will you follow–?
but I guess I am no Emperor
and so am unconcerned
by the taking up of space.

Rather, would I lead by example
in the embodied art of being
just visible enough to spare
embarrassment, but not

exposed to the unreeling of
the fish we've caught; to
better bearing wounds you
know that we've become.

--

I am the cut establishing
my dominance not over blood
or basis for our healing, but
the outcome of desires who

refused to pay the tithes of
illness; bore the brunt and last
emerged as more myself than

all the plying need of cruelties
demanding so much more
than our good health:

obeisance to their worth.

--

Come with me and I might
teach us how to love,

again–

one careful, silly moment

at a time.
